Tonight's post is a business update. I thought it might be a nice change of pace.
We have been working almost every hour of the day to get Shift Sight off the ground. Tonight, I want to share with you some details in most of the categories posted on the Progress page. Some of the items that I have disclosed have a minor broadcast delay.
Some time ago, our glowing rectangles used to provide very low-resolution images. Pong. Space invaders. You know what I'm describing. From a neuroscience perspective, these extremely simple graphics forced us to use our imagination. Using your imagination develops your creativity.
Technology moved on to 32x16 and 40x25 text screens. The medium is the message; any technology is a medium and innately affects the message it carries. (You can verify this yourself: write the same thought on a primitive technology like paper, as a social media message, and then as a unrestricted-length text document on a computer. Compare and contrast.) How did the message change?
Have you been “crushing it” lately? Are you working in a company that is going to “disrupt” something? Would you like to sit down and talk with a “thought leader” today?
If these are your yardsticks for success, you might find yourself with a yard stick like the above: crushed personal space, a disrupted life, and a lot of unactionable ideas about how to get the thing off your lawn.
What we value today is not how future generations will judge us. What if we paused for a moment to consider what they might say?

I tried to write this post five times tonight. I was not happy with my work each time. Our relocation has taxed the Shift Sight team more than I initially believed, so the blog is taking a break this week.
All other activities are moving forward as quickly as possible.
“If you get tired learn to rest, not to quit.” – Banksy
Shift Sight HQ has relocated, but we are still working out of boxes. Our primary computer is setup and has resumed rendering models / video 24/7 for the WIP website overhaul. We are still pushing with full momentum: there is not a second to lose.
I wanted to share an iFixit link describing the necessity of durable electronics. The quick facts at the top say it all: recycling is not a long-term solution, as approximately 30% of material is lost in the process. You cannot remove pristine egg yolk from a baked cake.
Look forward to regular updates soon!
There is no post tonight. We are getting close to launching the website and fundraiser, despite many roadblocks. One of them is self-imposed: as we were going through videos, we realized that there is nothing that is just strictly fun.
We've been so busy that we forgot to have fun! There is a new video in process, and the screencap above is all I can show you for now.
The website reveal was originally planned for this weekend, but we will take a bit more time to do it right because there is not time to do it over. That comment sounds vaguely familiar... stay tuned!
Murphy's law is in effect over here. In the face of everything, we do the only reasonable thing: we persist at our best possible speed. And, we continually thank you for your patience.
The team at Shift Sight has gone quackers. We resemble ducks right now: utterly calm on the surface and paddling like mad underneath.
The story I want to tell you about Jade is coming together.
Thanks for stopping by tonight. There is no blog entry as we are devoting every hour to preparing for the reveal. Our resident artist has said that Jade's revised geometry is absolutely stunning. It looks nothing like the previously shown image on a table.
The countdown is live on the Jade page.
We hope you can join us on the 22nd! Like the Phoenix shown above, Jade is the rebirth of an inhumane, damaging industry.
