Murphy's law is in effect over here. In the face of everything, we do the only reasonable thing: we persist at our best possible speed. And, we continually thank you for your patience.

The team at Shift Sight has gone quackers. We resemble ducks right now: utterly calm on the surface and paddling like mad underneath.
The story I want to tell you about Jade is coming together. You might have wondered if the Jade logo on the lid is upside-down. It depends on which way is up. The logo choice is intentional: it represents how we feel about you and technology.
Of course, Shift Sight is designing for its customers. This design choice may not live to see production, but let's discuss it. [I hope that you enjoyed reading about Jade! If you missed the reveal and are only joining us now, please take a look.]
The same story has repeated itself throughout history. A new technology is developed, and we become dependent on it. Society's current tech trajectory demands infinite electronics because what we have “is never fast enough” or “is never big enough.” The result is e-waste. Shift Sight intends to bend the tech trajectory at its source. Our current dependence is not sustainable. Shown above is a snapshot of the Jade simulator’s boot screen. There are a few tidbits to be gleaned.
The reveal preparations are progressing. I am very thankful for your patience. After reviewing the available assets, our resident artist agreed with me that the concept geometry needs cleaned up before the reveal. This week, I have dedicated my time to this task. You have been waiting a long time to hear more about Jade. The pieces of the puzzle are falling together, and the concept reveal is on the horizon. Shown above is a rough rendering of the back, subject to change. No peeking!
Patent applications have been filed, so tonight's post contains a few tidbits. The story (and renderings) are still getting the final polish. |
