The Meaning Behind the Butterfly

When you visit Shift Sight’s page, you are presented with a blue butterfly perched on a circuit board.
 
Blue butterflies hold many symbolic meanings.  Some believe that they represent a change.  Others believe that they stand for joy and happiness.  Some consider them to be able to grant wishes.  They are certainly rare.

Shift Sight embodies all of these qualities.  We are a Teal organization; a company that rejects profit for the sake of profit while the planet burns.  We will bring about a sweeping change by stopping e-waste.  But this is not a reflection of prohibition – it is by giving you joy and happiness through Jade that we can make e-waste obsolete.
 
Shift Sight will grant your wishes.  Teal companies are similar to non-profit organizations.  Like a non-profit, we are transparent and purpose-oriented.  Unlike a non-profit, we can freely use our profit to empower other humanitarian and societal causes.

I once heard someone compare profit to rocket fuel.  Some companies find meaning in keeping warehouses full of barrels of fuel while you suffer in some way.  Shift Sight would rather power our rocket to be the change that you demand.
 
We are rare.  Shift Sight is ambitious without being hindered by personal ambitions.  The Earth demands no less.
